Hobbs Insulation was founded in 2023 by a Hobbs local who spent years watching neighbors overpay on cooling bills and deal with drafty, dusty homes that never felt comfortable. The goal was simple: bring honest, quality insulation work to a region where most contractors are either passing through or stretched thin across too large a territory.

Hobbs sits on the high plains of southeastern New Mexico, right in the heart of Lea County and the Permian Basin oil patch. The summers are long and brutal, with temperatures that regularly climb past 100 degrees. The wind blows almost every day, pushing fine desert dust through gaps in older homes. Most of the housing stock here was built during the mid-20th century oil boom - fast construction with minimal insulation by today's standards.
